Hi,
yesterday i upgraded my amanda-configuration from 2.4.2 to 2.4.3b3.
(yes i know 'b' stands for beta)
This morning i realised 4 of my 11 partitions failed with
"missing estimates from..."
which sort of surprised me, as the confiugration woked for years without
any problems.
After some investigation i found the following:
all failing partitions had exclude-list files defined in disklist,
but the files either didn't exist, or wer not readable by the amanda-user.

creating/making them readable by the amanda-user solved the
"missing estimates" problem.

is this behavior intended or is it a bug in amanda-2.4.3b3 ?

amanda 2.4.2 just seemed to ignored these files and gave me correct backups.
Shouldn't amanda 2.4.3b3 behave the same way?
Christoph
