I'm running amcheck on the tape server, puffer, and keep getting
"selfcheck timed out host down?"
I was getting this when trying to connect to the client, hacksaw, so I
thought I'd try it locally on puffer. same problem. I've tried
everything in the FAQ-O-MATIC and think I've double checked everything
but still know luck. here's what I've got tell me if anything jumps out
at you.
I run the command from root like this
su amanda -c "amcheck Full" -- Full is the org name
/etc/inetd.conf

amandaidx stream tcp nowait amanda
/usr/local/libexec/amindexd amindexd
amidxtape stream tcp nowait amanda
/usr/local/libexec/amidxtaped amidxtaped
/etc/services

amidxtape 10083/tcp
../disklist
puffer / test-full --test-full is my dumptype name
nothing in /var/adm/messages and netstat -a |grep -i am gives me this
*.amandaidx *.* 0 0 24576 0
LISTEN
*.amidxtape *.* 0 0 24576 0
LISTEN
I can't think of where the problem is...
