depends upon if you built it from source or someone gave you some rpms.
but I would say yes (on RedHat its located in: /var/lib/amanda)

add the following:

FQDN connecting-user-name

in my case

eir.angelnet.internal amanda

just run: hostname -f (thats what should go in place of FQDN)
