Why not configuring with a local user, e.g. amanda?
You don't need sendmail in that case.
And then, at least, you got the reports she sends (they are not
without value!).
Or, alternatively, if you realy realy want to discard the emails,
try one of:
1. leave out the "mailto" line in amanda.conf (I never tried it).
2. fill it in in like:
mailto "/dev/null"
(never tried that one either :-)
