Hello Eric,

Thanks for your kind help.   This was the one of the first things that I 
tried to get it to work.  I don't think that there's such a thing as a 
non-blocking device in IRIX...at least I can't seem to find any 
reference to it.

Also, I think that the chg-scsi has broken support for IRIX in 
Amanda-2.4.3.  Everything worked fine when I used chg-scsi in 2.4.2p2.

I'm willing to help the people who are maintaining the chg-scsi in 
Amanda to get it back in working order for IRIX.  For know I'm using 
chg-zd-mtx.
