I have a 7-tape loader (TZ887) and have found that the tapes are large
enough to hold a _full_ backup of one server. I'd like to schedule all
7 tapes to contain a full backup on each tape. I've set the following.
dumpcycle 1 # the number of days in the normal dump cycle
runspercycle 1 # the number of amdump runs in dumpcycle days
tapecycle 1 tapes # the number of tapes in rotation
Should I actually be setting 'tapecycle' to 7 or more tapes? I don't
seem to be able to get Amanda to do a level 0 each time, it always
starts incrementing from 0 to 1, 1 to 2, etc.
Also, am I supposed to always pre-label the tapes before using them?
This is fine, I just need clarification that this is, in fact, the case.
