I apologize for posting a question not directly
connect to amanda, but the knowledge of the people
on the mailing list makes it the perfect place to
ask.
OK, on to the real question: I recently started
working with a new company and the only backup they
did was a full backup everynight with 5 tapes in a
cycle (a simple script). I replaced that script with
Amanda :) Now I'm standing in front of the task of
setting up the propper backup strategy (not a simple
task). I know there isn't one strategy that fits
every all environments so instead of asking for a
backup strategy that you use or that you think is
best I want to know what questions you raised when
you came to plan your backup strategies.
