OK, I was a good boy and installed amanda anew on the machine :) It seems that the problem is the same. So I join a complete /tmp/amanda/amanda.20030115.log, the problem seems to be a network problem. Amcheck runs without error. There is no tcpwrapper defined on the client machine. There is no firewall defined on the client machine. On the server I did not changed anything and it was working before I upgrade the OS verion of the client. I have other clients with the same OS and amanda is running fine for them.
