Hi all,
by the way, wish all of you all the best things for this new year.
My problem is that I frequently have these messages:
*** A TAPE ERROR OCCURRED: [reading label: Input/output error].
Some dumps may have been left in the holding disk.
Run amflush to flush them to tape.
The next tape Amanda expects to use is: TestConf10.
or this one:
The dumps were flushed to tape TestConf08.
*** A TAPE ERROR OCCURRED: [[writing file: Bad file descriptor]].
Some dumps may have been left in the holding disk.
Run amflush again to flush them to tape.
The next tape Amanda expects to use is: TestConf09.
Thinking this could be an SCSI issue, I installed a second SCSI controller on my backup server and attached the tape drive on it, but the problem still remains.
Somehow, I now have this in my kernel messages (which didn't happen when I only had one SCSI controller):
Jan 16 16:17:09 parasy kernel: st0: Error with sense data: Info fld=0x2, Current st09:00: sense key Medium Error
Jan 16 16:17:09 parasy kernel: Additional sense indicates Write error
Any ideas or indications on this issue are greatly appreciated.
Regards.
