I've been watching the balance report all week, waiting for amanda to take some corrective action over the fact that its going to overshoot a tapefull when it runs again in the morning, but so far, the adjustments the scheduler has made have not made a measurable difference. Maybe 20 megs in a 250 meg overshoot of a dds2 tape.
Is there some setting in the amanda.conf file that can defeat amanda's attempts to level out to average, the size of the nightly backups? I see reports that it moved so and so's level 0 up, in several cases a full five days, but it doesn't seem to have effected the balance report at all. Runtapes is set to one, so it knows its only got one tape per nightly run. What do I check? -- Cheers, Gene AMD K6-III@500mhz 320M Athlon1600XP@1400mhz 512M 99.22% setiathome rank, not too shabby for a WV hillbilly
