That would seem to be the problem (i.e. it can't seem to open /dev/rdisk/dsk0a). Does /dev/rdisk/dsk0a exist, and is it readable by amanda? Can you run the above dump command by hand? -- Joshua Baker-LePain Department of Biomedical Engineering Duke University
