I am curious, I compiled amanda with the switch --with-gnutar=/usr/local/bin/gtar but it would seem amanda is still trying to use /bin/tar. I have since corrected amandas env to place /usr/local/bin/(gtar|tar) first. But why would there be this switch if it was going to be ignored?
