That seems to be a message from sendmail (invoked by Mail, invoked
by amcheck).

Try:
    echo hallo world | /usr/bin/Mail -s "Test" [EMAIL PROTECTED]

and you probably get the same error.

Following up on myself. (Seems to be a habit on this list :-) Check the permissions of the /var/spool/mqueue directory. It should be owned by root, I believe.
