Are you sure you checked the right infofile thing? Is a directory
or symlink? Disk full? Did you check permission on the parent directories (up to root!!): what's the output of:
ls -lLd /
ls -lLd /...
ls -lLd /.../...
down to the infofile directory?


Isn't there any hint of the real error in /tmp/amanda/*.debug or
in amdump.* ?
