Well
I suspect that the problem could be the following
the DNS hostname of the Windows NT machine is different from it's Windows 
Name
That is CYTOPIA01.INTRA is only 15 letters (a short version of the full 
hostname).
A possible cure would be to use the Windows Name (or what appears 
under Network Neighbourhood) of the NT machine in the disklist and then 
add an entry into /etc/hosts for the machine.

Example:
        //NTSERVER-X/shared

        in /etc/hosts try to place the entry
        
        {ip_address_of_cytopia01.intra.cytopia.com.au}          NTSERVER-X
