I got a server that someone forgot to load the tapes in. So, the holding disk growed to 100%. Then I came to make some flushing of the data. There are a lot of days waiting to be flushed. One of them I thought it didn't fit in the tape, so I wanted to skip it and try to flush it later. There were [A..P], and I typed this: B C D and so on
But when I check the amstatus it displays like this:
Using /var/lib/amanda/Daily/amflush
SUMMARY part real estimated size size partition : 0 estimated : 0 0k flush : 0 0k failed : 0 0k ( 0.00%) wait for dumping: 0 0k ( 0.00%) dumping to tape : 0 0k ( 0.00%) dumping : 0 0k 0k ( 0.00%) ( 0.00%) dumped : 0 0k 0k ( 0.00%) ( 0.00%) wait for writing: 0 0k 0k ( 0.00%) ( 0.00%) wait to flush : 0 0k 0k (100.00%) ( 0.00%) writing to tape : 0 0k 0k ( 0.00%) ( 0.00%) failed to tape : 0 0k 0k ( 0.00%) ( 0.00%) taped : 0 0k 0k ( 0.00%) ( 0.00%) all dumpers active taper idle
That wasn't the usual status flushing report at all. I stopped it, run amclear and tried again. Now I only asked it to flush one day. It happens the same.
How can I clean this mess ? Thank you .
