Hi Jon,

It's my very first time to setup and used Amanda as an alternative
backup solution here in our company. Since my server doesn't have any
tape drive installed I configured Amanda to run backups and stored them
in the holding disk. To verify my backups, I tried restoring one of them
by following the instruction from /usr/share/doc/packages/amanda/RESTORE
but I wasn't able to find the right commands to do it. Almost all the
instructions there require restoring from a tape. But as I have said, I
am trying to restore directly from my holding disk. I'm really out of
idea to do it that's why I am seeking for your help or from any other
Amanda expert if you could help me find the right combination of
commands to restore my backups.

Thanks and Kind regards,
Mar

I'm having trouble driving my car. Can you help me?

Probably not because you have no idea what kind of trouble I'm having.
I have not told you what I did or tried and what happend when I did.

Similarly, you have not told us enough to help.
