Thanks to input from several Amanda gurus I fount that my permission
denied error is due to the fact that Amanda is attempting to ufsdump a
vxfs filesystem. The FAQ says that to enable vxdump support that Amanda
has to be compiled on a machine with Veritas so it can find it. Both the
tape server and client have Veritas installed and their debug files
indicate they know where vxdump and vxrestore live. Why is Amanda trying
ufsdump on a vxfs filesystem, can I tell it explicitly to use vxdump?
