thats exactly the same output I've had prior asking the amanda-users forum. I would be really surprised if anything different from my first eMail would occur... Its still the same - with dd I can write the whole file to the tape and amanda is unable to do the same. There a no space left on device error occurs...
If you're really sure you amlabelled the tape in the correct circumstances, than I would believe it's something outside amanda...
At what point exactly does amanda bump into EndOfTape? You find this in the "NOTES" section of the amanda mail report.
From one of my reports:
taper: tape ARCHIVE-002 kb 33752576 fm 40 writing file: No space left on device
Here it bumped into EOT at 34152576 Kbytes (and 40 filemarks), which normal for an AIT-1 35 Gbyte tape.
