(Apologies if this is a repeat, I sent it last night but it does not appear to have made it out to the list, possible mail server error here)

I thought I'd seen this in a FAQ but I can't find it...

One of my tapes appears to have gone bad (amanda can't read the label
and the drive throws some sense errors about Medium Error). I need to
replace this tape (preferably before tonight :-) I haven't had to
replace a tape in my cycle yet, so not sure exactly how to proceed. Is
there some documentation available for replacing a bad tape with a new
one? Do I want to give the new tape the same label as the old tape,
although it really doesn't matter to me, as long as Amanda knows it's
one of the tapes available.

Related to this would be docs for adding and removing tapes from a
set. Also useful might be some documentation on managing a separate
set of tapes (such as for long-term archiving). But right now, mostly
concerned about replacing the bad tape with a fresh one. :-)

Thanks,
Fran
