Thanks much Paul,

Your English is quit good and eventually I successfully run the amcheck on
the window box :)

Yet, I was not able to back up a shared folder on a window box.
Is it possible to backup a shared folder instead of a full drive like:
 //machine_name/shared_folder instead of //machine_name/c$
and if so what is the syntax?

The syntax is exactly the same; you have to specify the sharename instead of the (default administrative share) "D$" of course.

And the share must be accessible by the user.

But is it a syntax problem? You said amcheck did not complain.
What is the error message then?
