If you place this line in your amanda.conf: autoflush on
then you don't have to worry about this type of problem in the future. Anything left over from the previous run will be flushed without the need for an amflush. Sometimes, my tape fails partway through, or I run out of memory, or some other disaster strikes. I don't worry about it much. I know that I can catch up with the next amdump. When amanda plays catchup on your next run, there might be some left over in the holding disk, but again, that will be handled with the next run with autoflush turned on. "Erik P.
