I'm having a problem with amanda backups on one node in our group of linux boxes.
The error in the daily report reads: node1 / lev -1 FAILED [no estimate] The error in the node1 sendsize.20051018004609.debug file from last night shows up as sendsize[28113]: time 111.788: spawning /usr/lib/amanda/runtar in pipeline sendsize[28113]: argument list: /bin/tar --create --file /dev/null --directory / --one-file-system --listed-incremental /var/lib/amanda/gnutar-lists/node1__1. new --sparse --ignore-failed-read --totals --exclude-from /var/log/amanda/sendsize._.20051018004801.exclude . sendsize[28113]: time 111.793: runtar: error [must be invoked by amanda] sendsize[28113]: time 111.793: sendsize[28113]: time 111.794: ..... sendsize[28113]: estimate time for / level 1: 0.005 sendsize[28113]: no size line match in /bin/tar output for "/" sendsize[28113]: ..... sendsize[28113]: estimate size for / level 1: -1 KB sendsize[28113]: time 111.794: waiting for /bin/tar "/" child sendsize[28113]: time 111.794: after /bin/tar "/" wait sendsize[28113]: time 111.794: done with amname '/', dirname '/', spindle -1 sendsize[28111]: time 111.795: child 28113 terminated normally I think the "must be invoked by amanda" is interesting, but I've checked settings and ownership on node1 and can't find a problem. Any thoughts? Thanks... -- Bob Tilden, [EMAIL PROTECTED] High Energy Physics Group Northwestern University
