Coverity has evaluated software quality of different open source projects. They had released their report on March 6th. Their tool, Coverity Prevent (does static analysis of source code) was used to determine software quality.
Amanda was the worst performer in their report in terms of number of defects found per 1000 lines of source code (108 defects found). Today, Amanda has zero defects according to their tool. All the changes are part of 2.5.0 source tree and will be part of 2.5.0 release. Thanks to everyone who analyzed the defects and addressed them. We hope to maintain the zero Coverity defect count. Please see http://scan.coverity.com for current results and progress. Thanks, Paddy -- Amanda documentation: http://wiki.zmanda.com Amanda forums: http://forums.zmanda.com
