We have a STK-L180 library and LTO drives (all fibre channel) on a SAN and even though it's not in use by amanda right now I did some tests when we got the unit and I had no trouble driving the library with mtx and the drives with mt so amanda would run quite happilly on such a setup. Bottom line: if you can drive the robot with mtx and the drives with mt you're home free wrt amanda. hth jf > > Our configuration is > > linux server 1 linux server 2 > | | > 2 Gbit ethernet switch - fiber channel > | > raid filesystem 1 mapped to linux server 1 > | > raid filesystem 2 mapped to linux server 1 > | > raid filesystem 3 mapped to linux server 2 > > (possible addition) > | | > tape library - mapped to both hosts > scheduling will prevent contention > > If you use a fiber channel drive, could you please describe > your configuration (OS, hardware, issues). > > Thanks in advance, > Anne Hammond, University of Colorado at Boulder -- <° ><
