Its 'changer', not charger, but we understand anyway. :) Since you must do it
manually, I think I would use the usual methods of using some sort of a
pattern matching thing in two separate profiles to break them in two.

I think i split the directory in 2 parts and then backup it.
That works definitely ;)

A 3rd option would be to tell it runtapes=2, and the changer is 'chg-manual'.
This AIUI, will send you an email when it needs the 2nd disk, then wait and
will proceed when you have mounted a new one.

Maybe i'll write a script for that problem, but not at the moment ;)
Mount disk, write it , umount an eject it and ask for the next.

And just a comment, dvd-r media isn't very permanent, often developing
unusable error rates in just a few days/weeks, where dvd+r will outlast the
drive at 70 years estimated, so while the dvd-r's may be on sale, its dvd+r's
that will go out the door with me.

Thanks for the warning, but im writing on DVD-RAM
It's not very fast (about 1x "real" speed) but verification done in
hardware, so its more save than a normal DVD R oder RW.
And you can mount it like a normal hdd ;)
