I'm trying to setup amanda on two machines: - server - debian - client - freebsd ..with virtual tapes (back upping on HDD)
I did everything from this link: http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/How_To:Set_Up_Virtual_Tapes (creating a typetape, setting up a changer chg-disk) amcheck goes without any errors amdump too but it hangs for about 10 minutes (sometimes less) and it isn't doing any backups. I did exactly the same setup on two machines with debian and it works fine. Some errors from logs: - from chunker..debug chunker: try_socksize: receive buffer size is 65536 chunker: stream_server: waiting for connection: 0.0.0.0.50047 chunker: stream_accept: timeout after 300 seconds chunker: startup_chunker failed - from dumper..debug dumper: connect_port: Try port 1025: Available - dumper: connect_portrange: connect from 0.0.0.0.1025 failed: Connection timed out dumper: connect_portrange: connect to 127.0.0.1.38680 failed: Connection timed out dumper: stream_client: Could not bind to any port: Connection timed out dumper: connect_port: Try port 1025: Available - dumper: connect_portrange: connect from 0.0.0.0.1025 failed: Connection timed out dumper: connect_portrange: connect to 127.0.0.1.51265 failed: Connection timed out dumper: stream_client: Could not bind to any port: Connection timed out any help would be really appreciated.
