Apologies for the self-reply, but as a brief report on this evening's presentation. Nikolas Coukouma, our newest Amanda developer, and Jon LaBadie, a seasoned member of the Amanda community, were both present and added valuable comments and perspectives to the conversation.
I talked about Amanda's strengths, walked through a very basic Amanda configuration, talked about all the fun new projects in Amanda (Device API, App API, Xfer Architecture, and Perl Rewrite), and then spent some time talking generally about open-source communities and development.
