I had this posted to a half-year old thread on my blog, as well. Astroturfing, I'm guessing.

Just FYI, this exact message, using the same or similar user names, has been "spammed" to other forums as well. It appeared on Linuxquestions.org today just tacked onto a thread where I had been helping someone work through some issues with their Amanda configuration. It was the first post on that forum by "encryptionfunda". The product is real, and I found postings earlier of people actually using it, but I find it slightly annoying to have a pure advertisement posted to the list as though it were an innocent discovery by a user. Here it is kind of out of the blue. On the linuxquestions thread, it was almost a complete non sequitur, leaving me scratching my head thinking "huh?" -- --------------- Chris Hoogendyk - O__ ---- Systems Administrator c/ /'_ --- Biology & Geology Departments (*) \(*) -- 140 Morrill Science Center ~~~~~~~~~~ - University of Massachusetts, Amherst <[email protected]> --------------- Erdös 4
