Greetings all;

I am sort of in the middle of switching distro's, and ran into a problem when
I mounted my F10 /home partition as /home in the Mint 8 install, which is 99%
a kubunbtu-9.10 64 bit install. And the *bunbtu's do not do a very good job
of keeping their pkgconfig's various entries up to date, which has attacked
me on another front too, building kernels, I can't do either a 'make xconfig'
or a 'make menuconfig' in the 2.6.32 src tree. Moot, just adding what may be
usable info here.

Yes, I knew I'd have to get root and do a "chown -R amanda:disk amanda" from
the /home dir before I could do anything when rebooting back and forth.
Expected in fact.

Unforch, when I try to run, as amanda, my gh.cf script, it errors out at the
end before doing the make, with a message indicating glib is either miss-
installed, or is too old. It is 2.22.2 IIRC. I took some pix, 2 frames, of
the error message, and of a 'dpkg -l |grep glib' output, but as IUI, I can't
post pix to the list, so whats the next best, put them on pastebin.ca?

Thanks folks.
