+10 I'll do a +10 on this one myself. Using the big disk as a backup medium is a much faster write, doing as high as 35GB in a little over an hours time, and essentially a truly random access recovery, I can pull in 2 or 3 minutes, what it would take hours of tape reading to find if I were still using tapes, even with the tape changer I had. I am on my 2nd one terrabyte drive dedicated to amanda's use now, the first one gave me plenty of failure warning and I was able to clone it with no real interruption in service. >-- >Toomas Aas > >... I haven't lost my mind; I know exactly where I left it. So do I, I think, CRS etc. -- Cheers, Gene "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
