Amanda 2.6.1p1 on Solaris 10/x86.

We have been running great! However because of problems outside
the scope of amanda, our work area failing, we have moved the
work area to a portion of our ZFS file system.

This has worked great for us, however (why is there always a but
or however...) for reasons outside of amanda, we have implemented
daily snapshots to allow online recovery of data, rather than
recovery from tape (we still have offsite backups, which makes
me very happy).

Unfortunately the automated code to remove the snapshots from
the amanda work area isn't in place (again, not an amanda problem).

This did however result in our inability to remove files from the
work area because the snapshot area ended up consuming the available
disk quota for amanda on that partition.

At that point amanda failed, inexplicably having no disk space to
write in, yet being unable to remove files that had been flushed
to tape - really a situation that shouldn't every happen.

The amanda question (now that our setup is out of the way) is
the amanda snapshots of the DLEs amanda was still trying to dump.

These snapshots survive passed the end of the amanda run. I suppose
being removed by the wind down of subsequent amanda runs ?

Anyway, does or should amanda have a mechanism to remove these
snapshots, either at time of failure or...

                                                thanks,

                                                Brian
