A document has been added to the zmanda wiki regarding magnetic tape behavior on UNIX systems and the differences between the System V and BSD tape drivers.

Although JRJ wrote the article nearly 10 years ago the information is still valid, and relevant, today. When I rediscovered the article, in a directory I was about to delete, I suggested to Dustin Mitchell that it should be included in the AMANDA documentation.
