I have a 'large' partition that isn't backing up most nights.
Haven't quite been able to resolve why its failing, message is
'data timeout' but the underlying cause is still a bit of a
mystery to me.

I am, oddly enough, able to do an amdump of the single partition
with no problems, but it runs 15+ hours. Runing the dump on the
single partition prevents the normal nightly dump of all of the
other partitions.

Is there any way to dump this partition without preventing the
normal amdump from running ?

Can I initiate some sort of a parallel dump that will just leave
the data in the work area and allow the next normal nightly to
flush it ?

We are currently running Amanda 2.4.4, client==server, platform
is Solaris 10/Sparc.

humm... I have a build of 3.2.0 for Sparc, if it'll help I'll
upgrade, else its a race to figure out when this box will get
decommissioned.

                                                thank you,

                                                Brian
