I have six new tape ready to be used by my archive backup.
:~/archive% amadmin archive tape
The next Amanda run should go onto 6 new tapes.
The next 6 new tapes already labelled are: A00190, A00196, A00197,
A00198, A00199, A00200
>From above I run "amadmin archive tape" and it shows me the next 6 new tapes
>that will be used.
Is it a guaranteed that it will use the tapes in this order? If not does it
help loading the first tape manually? If not is there a way to force amanda to
use the lower sequence number?
In my daily tapes, which gets used over and over, this is not such a big deal
as the library handles the tapes. The archive is different as these tapes get
removed and stored and I would like to have the tapes in the archive backup to
be in sequence if possible.
Thanks.
Thanks
