Sorry folks, out of habbit I replied to a year old thread
not realizing I was writing to people who where largely out
of the project.
I hate to bring such an old thread back but...here is the issue.
I am running Solaris 10/x86 server and same on client.
Installed v 3.1.2 on the server and 2.6.1-20090210 on
the client.
I already have fairly high timeout values for C/D/E timeout
are 500, 3600, 1500 respectively.
The client is a new install, in a DMZ, where the server is
within the campus network. Amchec reports all ok.
gtar is 1.23, gzip is 1.3.5, I am attempting to use zfs-snapshots.
I do see snapshots being created and destroyed.
I have a second client, within the campus network with similar problems.
Both clients backup when I use dumptype user-tar rather than zfs-snapshots.
-- Actually, I wonder if the amanda client is having problems
reading the snapshots.
** Is there something in the newer client installs that I've overlooked ?
thank you,
Brian
Failures from the client's /tmp/amanda/client/curie/amgar files
