Hello, every month I run full backups to tape, and I want to make an extra copy of these tapes. I guess that amvault could create these copies and make amanda aware of these copies.
On the mailing list I mainly found references where amvault is used in
disk-to-disk-to-tape setups, where the backup is done to disk and
amvault creates tapes from the disk backup.
Is amvault expected to create tapes from an existing tape backup? Is
anyone doing this? Successfully?
