Wow!
This is really a big surprise to me.
I can conclude that i can't guarantee several days of backup, but just
the last one (or at most the last 2) ?

This situation is the possibility that in one backup set where there are
several big size DLEs the level 0 backup is uncommon. Then is possible
that the DLE had several level 1 old backups and the level 0 (before the
level 1s) be overwritten by the current backup. Then i just have one (or
2) complete backup.

The simple question: How many days can i guarantee of valid full backups
in a amanda system when the incremental backup is used (the common
situation) ?

Another point is that this situation - full backups recovery in the full
horizon of the tapes used - is not always possible. This is not clear
nor underlined in the amanda documentation and in the wiki. If i don't
observe my backups in conclude that alone, i probably will never know
about that. Do you think that this information would be more clear and
exposed to the amanda administrators?

Regards,

Joel
