I found that is an issue with my perl version.

This server is a cpanel vps.

Cpanel runs its own perl version:

---------------

perl -v

This is perl, v5.8.8 built for i686-linux

---------------

With this perl version I have the "Segmentation fault" issue.

This is a perl version that installs cpanel, this is not the centos package.

Then Cpanel rename the centos perl package to:

---------------

/usr/bin/perl.1333242325 -v

This is perl, v5.10.1 (*) built for i386-linux-thread-multi

-----------------

So the installed centos perl version 5.10.1.

If I run:

   /usr/bin/perl.1333242325 /usr/sbin/amlabel

Usage: amlabel [- barcode <barcode>] [- target <meta>] [- assign] [- version]
                 [-f] [-o configoption] * <conf> [<label>] [slot <slot-number>]

everything works fine.

So the cause of the problem is the version of perl that Cpanel install on x86
systems.

Then I should run amanda with the renamed version of perl.

Anybody can give me a suggestion of how to handle this?
Amanda must be run with the same perl it was compiled for.
The fix is to change the perl path in the first line of every amanda perl scripts.
