I can't understand why Amanda goes to degraded mode.


OK, this is another of these cases where you can't find the answer on  
Google until 1 minute *after* you post to the list. Turns out this is  
a known bug in 3.2.0:

I configured a temporary holdingdisk and the problem is solved. Sorry  
for the noise.
