We patched the script to work with CentOS/RedHat 6, our main Linux distribution, and it works fine if what you're backing up is the entire logical volume. If you're only backing up a subdirectory, there may be problems. I would, however, be interested in seeing an effort to rewrite this from the ground up as there are certainly a lot of things that could be improved/fixed. We also wound up also creating our own amanda RPMs since the ones distributed by ZManda place files in /usr/local which conflicts with the way we manage our systems. However, it all seems to work together well. I back up 103 DLEs using the amlvm-snapshot script. Markus --- Markus A.
