Is there a parameter to make amanda wait with writing to tape until all the dumps are on the holding list?
I have played with flush-threshold-dumped & flush-threshold-scheduled ... so far no success. The LTO4 starts to stop and go while there are multiple dumps coming in .. which is to be avoided. Currently I run 2 Gb-NICs bonded to improve parallelity and throughput for dumping, this works fine in my tests. I could do 2 cronjobs, one for amdump -o tapedev="" ... to only write to the holdingdisk and a second for amflush -b ... but maybe there is a more elegant way? Stefan
