There is a bug that if one host fail then all others hosts can also fail
This bug is already fixed in the source and will be in 3.3.6.

Is it the only error you get? Do you have a third host that is not
responding?
No, only 2.
If I do an amdump with only this one host, it works!
Maybe some timeout issue ... I am testing and looking for the debug logs
(currently I can't find them on the amanda server ...)
