Yes, been there ;-) That was what I meant by "-h" and "-H". But as I understand it I have to toggle the switch at backup time which means I dump X copies of one file instead of just hard links? Would star do it differently? I have to set up a small test DLE here ... just busy these days. Thanks, regards, Stefan
