thanks for your explanation. What I want is, that all files are
extracted as they are on tape (part-size) => -n , leaving them
compressed => -l
But this bug prevents this.
Changing line 206/207 (amanda3.3.7p1) to
usage("-p is not compatible with -n")
if ($opt_pipe and $opt_no_reassembly);
fixes it, because -p and $opt_pipe goes together....
Could you please commit the patch?

show that -p is not compatible with -n
[-p|-n]
-n put all parts of a dump in different files
-p put everything to stdout
They are incompatible, you want all parts in different files or you
want them all concatenated to stdout?
We could change the behavior of -np to extract only the first part to
stdout? But is it useful?
