Ah thanks. It’s a rather large volume I’m looking at right now. So I need to be quite confident my setup will work.

many LTO6 tapes.

yes GNUTAR. I need to be sure I can also restore from non-Amanda environment… can I still do that changing to amgtar?

yes, amgtar use the same gtar binary, but it have more features and is more configurable than GNUTAR.

thanks

Can that error be ignored and you can still amdump then?

TRY IT!

The DLE was constructed as an include/exclude but I think the
problem is that combination of user and setgid?

Some include/exclude might cause this problem if you are using the program GNUTAR, you are not?

You must use the application amgtar!!

So you know what the problem is.

If the solution was obvious, you would not post a question.
Why not provided more information? nobody can help you with just
    an error message.
      - the selfcheck debug file
      - the dle (output of amadmin CONF disklist HOST
    /export/some/directory)
      - ...

            Hi

I’m seeing this from an amcheck /Config/ at the moment. If
I comment the DLE it warns about, it’ll happen on the next
            one too.

            /service selfcheck: selfcheck: Failed to

            This is using SSH.

I’m can’t see a problem client side at the moment - any
