While working on 1:3.4.2-1~rc2 for Debian:

In the sample amanda.conf:

define tapetype HARD-DISK {
    global
    comment "DAT tape drives"

    speed 468 kbytes
}

That should probably be 'comment "VIRTUAL tape drives"' or some such.

In man amanda:

CONFIGURATION FILES
       There are four user-editable files that control the behavior of
Amanda.

Shouldn't that be five?

Output from amcheck:

      it will be created on the next run

That should probably be "file does not exists"
