never looked into that section too much ... and I wonder if there is
some tuning possible here.
The default interface "local" looks like this in the example conf:

comment "a local disk"
use 1000 kbps
}
That is far from a gigabit NIC.
that would be more like 100000 kbps, right?
Or "1024 mbps" ?
Has someone of you amanda-users fiddled with these parameters and noted
some speed up?
As far as I understand from reading the docs this mostly gets into
calculation when it comes to deciding if to start the next dumper process?
