I usually verify the vTapes right after amanda finishes writing them. When I started to use Amazon S3, I do the same, because the peace of mind is more valuable than the cost of the download. In the begin I saw one error from time to time, that was not found if I redo the amcheckdump. The last 2 days I got errors and they are not going away if I redo the amcheckdump. First question: Is anyone seeing this problem with Amazon S3? I am using a Debian machine, running v9 aka stretch, with amanda 1:3.5-2~bpo9+1. This means that is running the amanda 3.5, compiled from the Debian package for unstable to stable. https://packages.debian.org/source/sid/amanda The amanda server is on same site as the clients and the S3 is in Europe Amazon. More questions. Could this be a bug on amanda code that deals with S3? Can I have the wrong settings for using Amazon S3?
