Greetings all;

Setting up a fresh 2T drive as /amandatapes, I have a puzzle.

Somethings reading the new drive, but nothing I can see with htop or
lsof, is touching it, its mounted only. At about an average read of 7
megs/second.

unmount it, stops instantly, remount it and it takes about 3 to 5 minutes
for the traffic to build up, like an easily triggered audio feedback.
Nothing seems to be bothering the other 3 drives in this machine except
normal email traffic.

Is there some system utility that is good at hiding from top/htop that
can do that? There is no corresponding net traffic. Got me scratching
my sparsely covered head.

Sudo related? I just killed 4 instances of it and its gone away. And its
not doing the same time pattern but its there if I start those root
sessions back up again.  Crazy...
